Artshine School Programs

Refund Policy: All school program registrations are final sale. Refunds will not be issued.*

Late Registration: Late registrations will be accepted up to the third week of a multi-week program, provided there is space in the class. Late registrations will be pro-rated. A $25.00 late registration fee will be applied to all late registrations. Please note that a late registration constitutes any registration that occurs after online registration has closed.

Inclement Weather/School Strike/School Closure Policy: Classes will be issued an “Inclement Weather/School Strike/School Closure” coupon, which can be used when registering for future Artshine classes. The coupon will be worth the value of the cancelled class. The coupon will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue. Refunds will not be issued.

Missed Classes: No refunds, discounts on future registrations, or make-up classes will be offered for missed classes.*

Cancelled Classes: Artshine reserves the right to cancel classes at any point in time, for reasons that include but are not limited to: low enrolment, class conflict, and instructor conflict. Classes cancelled by Artshine will be re-scheduled, issued a credit for a future class, or refunded at the discretion of Artshine.

Artshine Virtual Workshops (After-School, Studio 44 & Accessible Community)

Refund Policy: All virtual workshop registrations are final sale. Refunds will not be issued.*

Late Registration: Late registrations will not be accepted.

Late Entrance to Class Policy: Following the initial ‘Welcome’ email, Artshine does not send out class reminder emails. As such, it is your responsibility to be prepared for class and enter the virtual room on time for your scheduled workshop. Artshine is not responsible for late entry into a Zoom workshop. Refunds will not be issued for late entry.*

Missed Classes: No refunds, discounts on future registrations, or make-up classes will be offered for missed classes.*

Lost Internet Connection (by the participant): Artshine is not responsible for lost internet connection caused by the participant. Refunds will not be issued for lost internet connection.*

Lost Internet Connection (by Artshine): If Artshine loses the internet connection, the instructor will do everything possible to re-instate the Artshine virtual class and resume the project. If the internet is disconnected longer than anticipated, the instructor will either send a review of the class to the participants, with photos and directions for finishing up OR will ask to spend additional time the following week to complete the project. Refunds will not be issued for lost internet connection.*

Missing Supplies: Artshine supplies are pre-shipped via Canada Post. Due to changing delivery standards that are out of Artshine's control, your supplies may arrive late. If you have not received your supplies 3 days before your Artshine class begins, please email manager@artshine.ca

Studio 44 Workshops – In-Person

Artshine Scholarships

Registration: Congratulations on receiving a scholarship for an Artshine program! Artshine scholarships award your young artist the opportunity to take part in an Artshine in-person or virtual program free of charge. Please fill out the scholarship form and send it back to your school or to manager@artshine.ca

Cancelled Classes: Artshine reserves the right to cancel classes at any point in time, for reasons that include but are not limited to: low enrollment, class conflict, and instructor conflict. Scholarship participants will not receive a refund or credit of any kind to use towards a future program registration.

Birthday Parties

Booking Policy: We recommend that birthday party requests be made 1-2 months in advance, as dates and instructor availability fill up quickly. A travel fee may be charged if there is not an Artshine instructor available in your requested area. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your date.

Payment & Final Guest Count: Your deposit will be put towards your party total. Final guest count and party payment is due 7 business days before your in-person party, or 14 business days before your virtual party. Reductions to your final guest count may be made after this time, but refunds or credits will not be issued. You will receive an official party invoice for payment. Our preferred payment method is Interac e-Transfer. Failure to provide guest count and payment on-time will result in the cancellation of your party by Artshine. Booking deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy: We ask that in-person parties be cancelled no less than 7 business days in advance, and virtual parties no less than 14 business days in advance. Parties that are cancelled more than 7 (for in-person) or 14 (for virtual) business days in advance will receive a full refund (including the booking deposit). Parties that are cancelled less than 7 (for in-person) or 14 (for virtual) business days in advance, and booking deposits will not be refunded. Alternatively, you may request a date change. Date change requests are not guaranteed and are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.

Studio 44 Rental Policy: Artshine is excited to announce that birthday parties may be held at Studio 44 (located at 44 Gaukel Street, Kitchener), subject to availability. Additional time (in one-hour increments) may be added to your Studio 44 booking for an extra charge of $25.00 + HST per hour (i.e. for cake and presents). Studio 44 can accommodate a maximum of 15 guests. A $30.00 + HST cleaning fee will be added to all Studio 44 bookings.

Virtual Party Option: A virtual birthday party, via Zoom, may be requested at the time of booking. Art project supplies can be mailed to the party host’s house for distribution or can be mailed to each individual party-goer’s house. Additional shipping fees will apply. To avoid shipping costs, party kits may be picked up from the Artshine office during daytime office hours.

Disclaimer: In the event of circumstances beyond Artshine’s control (weather, illness, emergency), we reserve the right to reschedule, re-staff, or cancel and refund your party.

Liability: I waive any right to claim against Artshine’s owners, staff, and teachers in the event of an accident, injury, or loss or damage of personal items and property. I understand that an adult, age 18 or above, other than the Artshine instructor, must remain on-site and in the room during the party, and cannot leave an Artshine instructor or staff member unattended. I understand that it is my responsibility to clean up any outside food, drinks, presents, decorations, etc. brought to Studio 44. I understand that Studio 44 is not liquor licensed and alcohol may not be brought onto the premises.

 

Team Building

Booking Policy: We ask that team building requests be made a minimum of 1-2 months in advance. A travel fee may be charged if there is not an Artshine instructor available in your requested area. Payment is due in-full 1 week prior to the team building event. An email will be sent regarding payment and an invoice will be issued. Accepted forms of payment include credit card, e-transfer, or cheque mailed to the Artshine office.

Cancellation Policy: Team building cancellations must be made a minimum of 3 business days in advance. Full refunds, less a $25.00 administration and merchant processing fee, will be issued for requests made a minimum of 3 business days in advance. If a virtual team building event has been selected and supplies have already been mailed out, the refund will also be less the supply and shipping charges. Cancellation requests made less than 3 business days in advance will not be refunded.

Virtual Team Building Option: A virtual team building workshop, via Zoom, may be requested at the time of booking. Art project supplies can be mailed to the business’ office for distribution to participants or can be mailed to each individual participant’s house. Additional shipping fees will apply.

 

 

Artshine Camps

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Refunds will not be issued.

Late Registration: Late registrations to Artshine camps will not be accepted.

Missed Camp Days: No refunds, discounts on future registrations, or make-up classes during another camp day/week will be offered for missed camp dates.

Cancelled Camps: Artshine reserves the right to cancel camps at any point in time, for reasons that include but are not limited to: low enrolment, camp conflict, and instructor conflict. Camps cancelled by Artshine will be re-scheduled, issued a credit for a future class, or refunded at the discretion of Artshine.

Health & Safety: Artshine camps will follow all building policies and protocol, as well as federal and provincial regulations. Changes to these policies will be made in accordance with provincial and federal government regulations.

Returning to Lockdown: In the event Ontario/Kitchener-Waterloo returns to a state of lockdown and Artshine is unable to run camps in-person, we will continue to offer summer camps online/virtually via Zoom. All supplies will be pre-shipped to your home. Camp hours will remain the same as originally stated. Refunds will not be issued.

 

Artshine in a Box

Subscription Cut-Off Date: The last day to order Artshine in a Box and receive it the same month is the 5th day of the month (i.e. to receive the June box, your order must be received by June 5th). Subscriptions placed after the 5th day of a given month will receive the next month’s box (i.e. orders placed on September 7th will receive the October box).

Subscription Cancellation and Refund Policy: Artshine in a Box subscriptions auto-renew. You will receive an email approximately 3 days prior to the auto-renew date asking if you would like to cancel or renew your subscription. If you are having trouble cancelling your subscription, please email subscriptions@artshine.ca for assistance. Cancellation and refund requests made after the auto-renew period will not be processed.*

Shipping Policies

Shipping Timeline: Artshine in a Box subscription, premium, and seasonal orders will be shipped once per month, following the 5th day of the month. Artshine virtual workshop kits will be shipped once per month, approximately 1 week prior to the start of class. Tracking numbers are not available for orders at this time. Please allow 3-7 business days for delivery, as our shipping partners are experiencing delays due to COVID-19. Please contact manager@artshine.ca if you believe you should have received a delivery and did not.

Shipping Refunds: Refunds will not be issued on orders due to delivery issues or delays. Please contact manager@artshine.ca if you believe you should have received a delivery and did not.

Gift Certificates and Gift Cards
