Artshine Season Curriculum
Fall 2026: Colourful Friends, Funny Food, Glitter Glamour & Art History!
Bring your child’s imagination to life this Fall with Artshine! Our autumn program gives young artists hands-on experience creating colourful, cozy, and playful artwork inspired by nature, animals, food & urban landscapes. Plus we dive deep into art history!
This season, students will experiment with plasticine clay, chalk pastels, tempera paints, and mixed media as they build fundamental skills. Featured projects include:
- 3D Clay Sculpting: Crafting a playful monkey figure to explore form, texture, and tactile creation.
- Chalk & Pastel Portraits: Designing whimsical fruit-themed faces on dark backgrounds to experiment with contrast and vibrant colour blending.
- Textured Painting & Patterns: Painting patterned fish and pineapples to learn shape, line work, and bold design.
Each class blends structured technique with total creative freedom. Kids learn colour theory, spatial layering, and composition while making projects they are genuinely excited to show off.
Parents appreciate our step-by-step approach that builds confidence and fine motor skills and creative expression. Children love the freedom to experiment, mess around with new materials, and bring their ideas off the page. No prior art experience is needed—just bring curiosity and a willingness to create! As always, Let Your Art Shine!
