What Our Employees Think

The mission and goals of ARTSHINE captured my attention from the start. I've been welcomed, supported and encouraged from the start. Teaching art online has been a great experience. I love to see how much the children enjoy it.

I'm also looking forward to teaching in-person once the pandemic constraints are lifted.

- Art Teacher in Ottawa-Gatineau, ON

I began working with Artshine in 2019 and they have always maintained a positive, low-stress environment.

Initially, I was teaching lunch hour and after school art programs. When the pandemic shut that down, Artshine shifted to online learning and I began teaching art via Zoom, Google Classroom, and Microsoft Teams. Amidst this shift and learning curve, the Artshine management team remained helpful and kind. I appreciate the flexibility of the scheduling as it allows me to plan work around life and not the other way around.

I would definitely recommend working with Artshine.

- Remote Instructor

Inspiring a creative outlet for all ages and different abilities, is a rewarding role Artshine offers it’s employees. They are welcoming and helpful management/staff.

- Substitute Teacher in Kitchener, ON

I have worked at Artshine for a couple years now and I am very satisfied with it. The management and employees are all very kind and there is a lot of flexibility working at Artshine.

- Program Ambassador in GTA, ON

I’ve been working for Artshine for 2 years now.

They are so accommodating to my school, life, and work balance. They are encouraging, collaborative, and are always looking to enhance the company.

I am so grateful to be apart of a caring and passionate company! To do what I love, with a clientele that I am familiar with is truly a blessing.

- Art Instructor in St. Catharines, ON

Wonderful management and place to work. Highly appreciate that this organization collaborates with the community and places so much value on building positive relationships.

- Instructor in KW

I have enjoyed working at Artshine. The students are eager and engaged, the lesson plans are interesting, and allow for flexibility. Ideas are welcomed and encouraged. Management is fair, approachable and genuine. It's wonderful seeing the pride and growth in the students as they develop skills and confidence.

- Instructor in KW

I love working at Artshine. The flexibility is so helpful, but the work is also very meaningful as I know that the work that I do helps make art accessible to people who would otherwise not have access to it. I didn't think it was possible to bring together my business experience and my love of art and children but this job checks all the boxes!

- General Manager in KW

Artshine people are first and foremost welcoming, inclusive and flexible. Ideas are encouraged and taking initiative is welcomed. Creativity in teaching is a must, finding what sparks students interest and how to express it in art. Background in art is a plus but not always necessary. Slight drawback is that it's difficult to work full time given the nature of the instructor's role.
