Artshine Celebrates 10 Years of Inspiring Creativity Across Canada
Kitchener, ON — December, 12, 2025 — Artshine, the Canadian social enterprise dedicated to making art accessible to all children, is proudly celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
Founded by Paul Field in 2015, Artshine began with a simple idea: to bring art to kids everywhere, regardless of income, ability, or life circumstance. Over the past decade, that vision has grown into thousands of after-school programs, summer camps, workshops, subscription boxes, and art supply offerings across many Canadian cities!
“Ten years ago, Artshine was just a dream,” said Paul Field, founder of Artshine. “Today, we’ve had the privilege of teaching thousands of students and providing scholarships and subsidies to families who needed them most. This journey has never been just about art, it’s been about building confidence, joy, and opportunity.”
The impact has been deeply felt across schools and communities where Artshine operates. Knox Adams, Artshine’s Manager, added: “Every time we bring art into a classroom or community space, we see kids light up. For many, it’s their first chance to explore creativity in a structured, encouraging way. What inspires me most is knowing that thanks to our subsidies and scholarships, no child is left behind; that’s what makes Artshine special.”
Artshine’s success is thanks to its strong community of families, students, and supporters who have welcomed the organization into their schools and homes. It is also a tribute to the dedicated team of instructors, ambassadors, leaders, and staff, past and present, who bring creativity and heart into every program.
“Artshine is more than a program, it’s a movement to ensure every child can experience the joy of creating,” Field added. “None of this would have been possible without our incredible community and team. Here’s to the next ten years of inspiring imagination.”
